What style of yoga will be taught? Is this suitable for beginners?
There will be a combination of gentle & therapeutic yoga, restorative yoga, align & refine, and mindful flow classes being taught. In addition, classes will include pranayama (breath control practices) and meditation. All classes will be adjusted according to how people are adjusting to the altitude.
Restorative yoga will be co-lead with Medicine Woman, Luz Maria Ampuero who will guide you through a sound healing journey as Rachael leads the yoga poses.
Class Descriptions:
Gentle & Therapeutic Yoga: Gentle Yoga is for every-body regardless of your age, experience, size or shape of your body. It’s a great place to start or continue your yoga practice regardless of your experience, physical limitations, and strength. This class is also great for those recovering from or currently experiencing injuries and/or pain. During this class you will use your breath as your guide to gently move, while listening to what your body needs. Taught at a slow pace with therapeutic postures and sometimes QiGong movements, your body, mind, and soul will thank you for taking this time to practice.
Restorative Yoga: A relaxing class to soothe and calm the nervous system. Poses are held for longer periods of time using props from around the house to support the body to be comfortable in order to rest and let the nervous system settle. At the end of class students will feel well rested, ready to focus and be present.
Align & Refine: This class gives attention to form and details of the postures to learn proper alignment. Postures are generally practiced without flowing movements and might be repeated and broken down to bring greater awareness to the poses. A great class to build confidence, generate strength, and become present.
Mindful Flow: A moderate class that is intentional and accessible. The breath is used to coordinate movement through flowing connected postures. By maintaining the focus on the breath and body alignment, mindful awareness is cultivated to become more present in oneself.
What skill level is needed for yoga?
All skill levels for yoga are welcome! All classes I teach are appropriate for every-body, from beginners to advanced, regardless of your experience, flexibility & strength. I believe yoga should be inclusive. I have been teaching trauma-informed yoga therapy for over 13 years, and it is second nature to me to offer different options based on people’s injuries, flexibility and strength. If you have any specific concerts or questions, please contact me.
What is Empowerment Coaching?
As a Certified Mastery Method Coach, I guide you on a journey of profound transformation. We'll delve deep into the five levels of change – mind, body, emotions, unconscious, and behavior – to uncover and dissolve the root of any limiting beliefs or blocks that are holding you back from living your dreams.
Through this process, you'll cultivate a deep sense of empowerment, aligning with your authentic self and stepping into a life of purpose and fulfillment.
My coaching approach is personalized and supportive, meeting you exactly where you are and guiding you with clarity and confidence towards achieving your goals and living a life aligned with your deepest values.
How does coaching and yoga relate?
Yoga is a profound practice that connects your body, mind, and spirit. As a Somatic Coach, I guide you in merging the wisdom of yoga with powerful coaching techniques. Through this unique approach, you'll deepen your connection to your body – unlocking the physical and emotional patterns that may be holding you back from living authentically. By releasing these blocks, you'll experience greater clarity, alignment, and ease in embodying your true self.
You can purchase Add On of 1-12 coaching session packages in the ticket session. Please contact me directly if you have questions or to schedule your session.
